An introduction to The Thurlby GroupMichael Thurlby is originally a farmer from Tallington in Lincolnshire. With a personal passion for pubs and real ales he branched out into pubs of his own. This portfolio includes all of the premises he owns and has refurbished. All of the premises currently owned are freehold with no ties to breweries. There are two sections to this company: All Saints’ Hotels Ltd. – which includes, The Exeter Arms, The Crown Hotel and The White Hart. The Thurlby Group – The Prince Rupert, Jubilee Garage, The Periwig, The Tobie Norris, Smith’s and The Lord Nelson. All Saints Hotels’ Ltd. was established by Michael and sister Sue Olver. The aim of the hotels is to offer high quality bedrooms for business people and weekend breaks. Sue and Sally Rouse (Director and General Manager), formally of Claridges in London, demand high standards of service and have between them a vast amount of marketing experience ideal for the running of All Saints’ Hotels Ltd. The Thurlby Group is solely owned by Michael. All establishments in the group are pubs that promote high standards in real ales, fine wines and great food. With the assistance of Nick Buttress (Executive Chef) and Ross Dykes (Operations Manager) high levels of service and quality products are consistently maintained. Michael still produces a range of foods from his family run farm including Tallington Lamb, Lincoln Red Beef, asparagus and pigs. This produce is featured on some of our menus.
